How Our Calculations Work
Panchang elements (Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karan), Muhurat windows, and planetary positions on this site are computed from standard astronomical ephemeris data (Sun/Moon/planet positions) combined with the conventional Vedic (sidereal) astrology rules for deriving each Panchang anga and Muhurat — not manually estimated or looked up from a fixed printed table. Because sunrise, Tithi boundaries, and Muhurat windows genuinely shift with location, every calculation is recomputed for the city/timezone you select.
1. Reference Content
Descriptive reference material — what each Tithi, Nakshatra, Rashi, Yoga, or Karan traditionally signifies, its ruling deity/planet, and its classical nature (auspicious/inauspicious) — is compiled from classical Vedic astrology texts and widely accepted conventions, kept consistent with the terminology used throughout the rest of the site.
2. Predictive Content
Rashifal and other predictive/horoscope content reflects general astrological interpretation based on planetary positions and classical principles. It is guidance, not a guarantee — see our Disclaimer for how we expect this content to be used.
Corrections
If you spot a calculation that looks wrong for your location, or reference text that looks inaccurate, please tell us via our Contact page. We review reports and correct genuine errors as quickly as we can.
What This Site Doesn't Do
We don't offer personalized medical, legal, or financial advice, and Panchang/astrology content here should not be the sole basis for major life decisions. Full details in our Disclaimer.
