Raksha Bandhan is a beautiful ancient festival celebrating the unbreakable bond of love, care, and protection between brothers and sisters.

Celebrated on the full moon day (Purnima) of the Shravana month, the festival centers around the tying of a sacred thread (Rakhi) by a sister on her brother's wrist.

Vrat Vidhi & Fasting Rules

The festival involves fasting until the Rakhi is tied, performing an Aarti, and exchanging sweets and gifts.

Step-by-Step Fasting Procedures:

Both brother and sister traditionally observe a fast until the Rakhi ceremony is completed.
The sister applies a tilak, performs his Aarti, and ties the Rakhi on his right wrist.
It is crucial to avoid tying the Rakhi during the inauspicious 'Bhadra Kaal' window.
