Name: of Brahma — creative, sacred
Brahma carries the name of the creator, and it is one of the three Yogas — with Siddha and Indra — that classical Muhurta ranks as the most auspicious of the twenty-seven. Its association is with creation, sanctity and the beginning of something meant to have lasting significance.
Muhurta texts favour Brahma particularly for religious and spiritual undertakings — study of sacred texts, initiation, and rites connected with learning — while also treating it, on the strength of its overall standing, as broadly suitable for important beginnings of many kinds.
It is one of the three Yogas — with Siddha and Indra — singled out above the rest, carrying the creator's name and an association with sanctity and learning. Muhurta texts favour it particularly for religious study and initiation, and more broadly for important beginnings.
A Nitya Yoga is one of 27 periods based on the sum (not the difference, as with Tithi) of the Sun's and Moon's longitudes, each 13°20' wide. It is distinct from the special Muhurat Yogas also listed under /yogas (like Ravi Yoga or Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga) — those are formed by a combination of Tithi, Nakshatra, and Vaara, whereas a Nitya Yoga is one of the five ever-present core elements of the Panchang.
