Name: accomplished, perfected
Siddha means accomplished or perfected, and it is one of the three Yogas — with Brahma and Indra — that classical Muhurta singles out as the most auspicious of all twenty-seven. Its name promises completion rather than merely a good start.
Because of that standing, Siddha is treated as favourable for essentially any undertaking where success matters, without the narrower specialisation some auspicious Yogas carry. It is regularly cited as one of the strongest choices in the cycle for beginning important work.
Along with Brahma and Indra, it is one of three the tradition singles out above the other twenty-four. Its name means accomplished or perfected, and Muhurta texts treat it as favourable for essentially any important undertaking rather than a specialised category of activity.
A Nitya Yoga is one of 27 periods based on the sum (not the difference, as with Tithi) of the Sun's and Moon's longitudes, each 13°20' wide. It is distinct from the special Muhurat Yogas also listed under /yogas (like Ravi Yoga or Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga) — those are formed by a combination of Tithi, Nakshatra, and Vaara, whereas a Nitya Yoga is one of the five ever-present core elements of the Panchang.
